A feel good success story of a Training for Work participant who had no hope of finding a job but has now succeeded:

One of our recent candidates had always been a cleaner. Had no self esteem due to being a doormat all her life and have never seen herself as being able to get any job of any substance.

After spending time with our tutors in the Training for Work Activ8 program, she is now an advisor in Housing NZ full time as an advisor earning more money than she ever had dreamt of.

She can not thank the tutors enough for giving her the Get Ahead Polytechnic certificate program, the tools, resources, support and pastoral care that gave her the paradigm shift in seeing her true self & her capabilities to able to interview successfully, interact with many types of people in the real world, and most of all gain back her empowerment & shed the doormat mentality. This is one very happy & satisfied lady that we wish all the best in the future. Her transformation was amazing and her mindset the most prominent aspect of the ‘new her’.
